Claiming Williams 2024 Morning Keynote – Aaliyah Bilal, Education and Opportunity Beyond the Gates

Writer Aaliyah Bilal’s new short story collection “Temple Folk” tells of the lives of Black Muslims living in America in the 1970s, including their relationship with The Nation of Islam. It was a finalist for the 2023 National Book Award for Fiction.
